Pakenham Water Recycling Plant
Supporting regional growth
The Pakenham Water Recycling Plant (WRP) plays a vital role in the collection and treatment of wastewater for the Pakenham region.
Recycled water production at the Pakenham WRP is helping to secure our future water supply, by reducing our reliance on drinking water for non-drinking purposes. Class A recycled water is produced for reuse by local residential properties (toilet flushing and garden irrigation). Class C recycled water is produced and supplied to Bald Hill Farm and agricultural customers for onsite irrigation.
The Pakenham WRP will undergo significant upgrades from 2025 - 2032. We’re delivering new and upgraded assets to make the WRP more resilient and adaptable to a changing climate, helping to manage catchment growth and provide capacity for additional flows from extreme wet weather events.
