Longwarry Water Recycling Plant
Supporting a sustainable future
The Longwarry Water Recycling Plant (WRP) plays a vital role in the collection and treatment of wastewater for the surrounding area.
Recycled water production at the Longwarry WRP is helping to secure our future water supply, by reducing our reliance on drinking water for non-drinking purposes. The plant treats wastewater from the local community, and produces Class C recycled water, providing an alternative source of water for suitable non-drinking purposes and helping reduce reliance on precious drinking water supplies
The Longwarry WRP will undergo upgrades over the next few years. We’re delivering new and upgraded assets to make the WRP more resilient and adaptable to a changing climate, helping to manage catchment growth and provide capacity for additional flows from extreme wet weather events.
