South East Water has donated over 60 coats to Mums Supporting Families in Need (MSFIN) this winter.

An employee volunteer team recently visited MSIFN’s Seaford headquarters to deliver the donations in-person.

MSFIN will distribute the coats into the community via service providers who are working to support mums, kids and families experiencing vulnerability.

South East Water employees also dropped off over 145 toiletry items, including toothbrushes and toothpaste for kids. Together, South East Water donated nearly 1,000 toiletry essentials to MSFIN in 2024–25.

MSFIN Strategy and Fundraising Manager Charlotte Davies was thankful for the donation, and to the team for taking the time to visit.

“We’re so grateful to South East Water for supporting local families through our Winter Woolies Drive. Donations like this go directly to families doing it tough, helping them stay warm and feel supported by their community.

“Every coat carries kindness, and we’re proud to work alongside such a thoughtful and community-minded organisation,” said Ms Davies.

South East Water Managing Director, Lara Olsen said the organisation was proud to partner with MSFIN, knowing the donations would help many families stay warm and cared for during the winter months.

“We thank MSFIN for their dedication in providing life’s essentials to our customers and communities across Melbourne’s south-east.

“At South East Water we’re proud to foster a community culture, helping those experiencing vulnerability at any time of the year,” said Ms Olsen.

The coat drive may be wrapped up, but MSFIN is happy to take in donations of the items they need.
